Judo Unlimited and Syed Family History.

 

Judo Unlimited believes in providing quality merchandise at a reasonable price.  We are an active member in the Judo Community and work closely with the organizations that promote judo.

 

Our local Yudanshakai is NANKA 

Our State Organization is CALIFORNIA JUDO INC.

The three National Organizations are, USA JUDO USJF   & USJA.

 

We started out as parents.  Our sons Yusaf and Sami Syed began judo at the tender age of 6 and 5 1/2 at the Santa Monica YMCA.  When our oldest son, Yusaf began high school we switched to neighboring Venice Dojo due to scheduling conflicts with wrestling to stay in judo.

 

While going to tournaments we noticed one thing they all had in common.  The same boring white tee shirts with tournament logo.  Our sons after a while were lack luster about "getting tournament tees" and we saw that other judoka felt the same way.  Since our business was manufacturing clothing, we decided to start a line of clothing with its focus on Judo.  We named this new line Judo Unlimited.  We started by producing a few tee shirts; the Judo community liked our designs. 

 

We have always kept our focus on good quality clothing with a combination of designs.  We have had great assistance from our sons as they have always brought new ideas to our line of clothing.  We have kept an open line of communication with the kids who play Judo along with the coaches.  This combination has made this clothing line a success.  Judo Unlimited is the only company in the world, which produces well over 100 items related to the sport of Judo.  Since we participate in all major international and national events in the United States our brand is worn in almost every part of the world.

 

Those who have seen our clothing appreciate the designs and quality, so whenever they see us in any part of the world they grab Judo Unlimited clothing. 

 

After seeing this success in our clothing section we were asked by many Judoka and Sensei’s to start producing Kimono or Judo Gi.  We worked very hard to produce the perfect design so it fits almost everyone perfectly.  We consulted a few people who had doctorates in Fabric Weaving and Garment Construction to come up with a sturdy stitching method.  A lot of feedback was gathered from the Sensei’s who had experience buying different brands and that gave us a good idea of the issues with almost all of the brands.

 

So after using our previous experience from clothing, the feed back from the professionals, Judoka, and the Sensei’s, we have designed the perfect Gi.  Our prices for single weave and double weave Gi’s are very competitive because every thing is made at our factory from the thread to the complete garment.  There is no middleman and there are no expensive overheads.  We pass our savings to the Judo Community for the greater good of the athletes and the clubs they workout in.

 

As a parents of two kids who compete in judo we understand what it takes to be competitive and how important it is to have good gear.  Not everyone in our Judo community can afford to buy $200.00 Gi’s or $100.00 worth of track suites.   We made it our goal to bring quality and a great price structure for everyone.
